The Computer Technology Curriculum was Adopted by the Westbrook Board of Education in 2013
Disclaimer: The Westbrook Board of Education adopted the K–12 Computer Technology Curriculum in 2013. As part of the district’s continued commitment to digital literacy and innovation, a transition toward a comprehensive Computer Science curriculum began in the summer of 2024 with the launch of a K–12 curriculum mapping project. The maps were piloted during the 2024–2025 school year. Writing and development of the new Computer Science curriculum officially began in the 2025–2026 academic year and are currently underway.
Elementary
Disclaimer: The PreK through fifth grade computer science curriculum mapping project was completed on August 16, 2024 and those documents are below. The full curriculum is in the process of being written during the summer of 2025 with kindergarten, grade one, grade two, grade three, grade four, and grade five completed on August 12, 2025.
