Disclaimer: Daisy Ingraham Elementary School’s preschool curriculum map, developed in summer 2024, adheres to the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards and aligns with state standards. It covers eight domains: social and emotional development, physical health and development, language and literacy, creative arts, mathematics, science, cognition, and social studies. Each month features a focused unit of study using the Creative Curriculum for Preschool and Pockets for Preschool, including topics such as beginning the year, autumn, pets, clothing, and more. Students will explore these themes through investigations that integrate literacy, mathematics, arts, and technology, and will develop pre-literacy and early numeracy skills using the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness and Bridges in Mathematics Pre-K curricula.
