Disclaimer: Daisy Ingraham Elementary School’s preschool curriculum map was developed in summer 2024 and adheres to the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards, aligning with current state guidelines. The curriculum map covers eight domains: social and emotional development, physical health and development, language and literacy, creative arts, mathematics, science, cognition, and social studies.
Building on that work, the full preschool curriculum was written and completed on August 14, 2025, and will be implemented in the 2025–2026 school year.
Each month features a focused unit of study using The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and Pockets for Preschool, including topics such as beginning the year, autumn, pets, clothing, and more. Students will explore these themes through investigations that integrate literacy, mathematics, the arts, and technology. Pre-literacy and early numeracy skills are supported through the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness and Bridges in Mathematics Pre-K curricula.
